Nuovo IMAIE protects the entire category of performing artists of Italian nationality, as well as citizens of the European Union who interpreted or performed works fixed on phonograms or that took part in cinematographic and assimilated works, available to the public and broadcasted to the public. Provided that Nuovo IMAIE distributes remuneration to all right holders; all artists, actors, musicians, singers, orchestra directors, adult citizens of the European Union can apply for membership with Nuovo IMAIE as documented in the Membership Regulations.

Registration for Membership is totally free of charge. The Membership Application Form, filled up and signed, must arrive at Nuovo IMAIE in original only and exclusively in the following way:

► sent by regular mail to Nuovo IMAIE, UPAI office, II piano, via Piave 66 – 00187 Roma, with the obligation on the part of the Institute to acknowledge the receipt of document, so as to provide proof to the sender of having received it, except when the document was sent by registered mail with return receipt;
► hand delivered at the CONTATTA office, via Piave 66, ground floor, during office hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10.00 am to 12.00 am, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm.
