The phonographic producer, understood as the subject (for example the record company) who carried out and commercialised a recording in which an artistic interpretation has been captured, is the subject lawfully collecting the fair remuneration and the private audio recording also on behalf of artists, performers or executors legally entitled to it.
The phonographic producer is therefore bound to pay artists, performers and executors 50% of what was collected as a form of equitable remuneration and as a private audio recording and he must provide all the necessary information in order to establish for each and every phonogram who are the legally entitled artists, performers or executors.
Thanks to the agreements signed with the collective entities managing the rights of phonographic producers, NUOVOIMAIE collects the equitable remuneration and the private audio recording copy which the artists performers or executors the Institute represents are entitled to according to existing laws.
